Hästihoitud saladus: gängsterid Bonnie ja Clyde proovisid kätt poeetidena

Välja on ilmunud USA suure depressiooni aegsete lindpriide Bonnie Parkeri ja Clyde Barrow märkmik, mis tõestab, et nad mõlemad püüdsid end luulekeeles väljendada.

Seda, et Bonnie Parker värsse vormis, teati juba varem. Jeff Guinn kirjutas lindpriidest paari eluloos «Go Down Together», et Parker kirjutas luuletuse «Suicide Sal», mis jutustas noorest ja naiivsest maatüdrukust, kes armus vanglas kurjategijasse ja lasi end halvale teele mõjutada. Nüüd on Clyde’i õelaps pannud oksjonile müüki päeviku, milles on oma kriminaalsest elust kirjutanud nii Parker kui Barrow, edastab The Guardian.

Üks märkmikus leiduvatest luuletustest on välja lõigatud ja pandud eraldi ümbrikku, mille peale on kirjutatud «Selle kirjutas Bonnie».

Värss lõppeb ridadega:

Bonnie kirjutis lisati paari elulukku, et heita pilk ka kurjategijate endi nägemusele nende loost. Nüüd selgus, et märkmikus on veel üks luuletus, mille autoriks on Barrow.

«Bonnie’s Just Written a poem

the Story of Bonnie & Clyde. So

I will try my hand at Poetry 

With her riding by my side.

We donte want to hurt anney one

but we have to Steal to eat.

and if it’s a shoot out to

to live that’s the way it

will have to bee.

We have kidnapped some

people. And tied them to a tree

but not so tight that after we

were gone tha could not get

themselves free.

We are going home tomorrow

to look in on the folks. We will

meet then out near Grape Vine

if the Laws donte get there

first.

Now that’s not as good as

Bonnies. So I guess I

Will call it a flop-

But please God Just one

moore visit before we are

Heritage Auctions paneb raamatu müüki aprillis. Nagu näha, on teoses palju kirjavigu, mis olid Clyde’ile iseloomulikud. Bandiidi õde ja ema kinnitasid, et tegu on tõepoolest kuulsa gängsteri Clyde Barrow käekirjaga.
